Outcome 3: Inclusive and adaptive education

Keeping every learner visible and supported. Inclusive, safe and resilient schools, with gender and disability inclusion applied across the whole programme.

Why it matters

Gender, disability, displacement and poverty overlap to keep some children out of school and out of sight. Outcome 3 makes schools inclusive, safe and able to keep going through crises, so every learner can stay and learn.

What we do

Gender Transformative Education

Tackling the norms and structural barriers that keep girls out of school, led by Oxfam.

Disability inclusion

Identifying support needs and removing barriers, led by Light for the World with organisations of persons with disabilities.

Safe schools

Protection focal point teachers, referral desks and community protection committees.

Resilient schools

Education continuity plans so floods and extreme heat do not mean prolonged school closure.

How we track progress

  • Enrolment and attendance of girls at each level
  • Learners with disabilities identified and supported
  • Participation of displaced, refugee and returnee learners
  • Schools with continuity and protection measures in place
